Plants offer a tranquility matched by no other.  Their color and vibrancy add life to any room.  They absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen for us to breathe in.  Based on this process of photosynthesis, houseplants, even if passively, clean the air.  Their ability to do so also depends upon the health of the soil in which they grow.

Whether or not you are influenced by statistics, plants offer much more than clean air.  All that's left is to figure out which one suits your lifestyle.

1. Bamboo Palm

The Bamboo Palm, Chamaedorea Seifrizii, removes harmful toxins from your home, including formaldehyde.  It thrives indoors and outdoors, which makes it a great plant for various environments.  With a similar look to the bamboo, this palm adds a decorative feature, while being non-toxic to dogs and cats.

2. Spider Plant

If you're looking for a low-key plant, the Spider Plant,
Chlorophytum comosum, is a great option for your home.  While this plant removes harmful toxins, such as formaldehyde, from the air, its curly leaves also add beauty and life to any room.  Speaking of life, it is non-toxic to dogs and cats.

3. Gerbera Daisies

Gerbera Daisies, Gerbera jamesonii, offer such a blast of beautiful color in any landscaping or garden.  They attract bees and butterflies, which aids in pollination.  Gerbera Daisies grow best in full sunlight, so water them in the morning and let them dry throughout the day.  Lastly, these bright and beautiful flowers are non-toxic to dogs and cats.

4. Aloe Plant

Aloe vera, Aloe barbadensis miller, has so many uses.  The most popular use is to treat sunburns and skin irritations.  It adds a unique beauty to any environment.  Aloe Vera also acts as a natural air-purifier while improving creativity and lowering stress.  In addition to being used topically, Aloe Vera in juice form has been shown to have other benefits.

As beneficial as aloe is to humans, take special care around your pets as it has shown to be toxic to dogs, cats, and horses.  Some of the symptoms to look for are vomiting, diarrhea, and lethargy.

5. Flamingo Lily

Flamingo Lily, Anthurium andraeanum, adds a beautiful pop of color and tropical feel to any room.  Colors and plants improve moods while creating a dramatic room aesthetic.

Beware, though, this plant is highly toxic to dogs and cats.

Conclusion

Finding indoor plants that clean the air and are made in the USA may pose a challenge, but with challenge comes change.

How will YOU be part of the change?

Always remember: Nobody appreciates you and your business more than the people behind the made in the USA name!
