May 6 is National Nurses Day.

Nurses dedicate their lives to the well-being of their patients.  Nurses constantly overcome challenges.  They advocate for their patients and for the health of the community.  This level of dedication merits an increased appreciation.

A nursing shortage increases the potential for burnout.  The shortage increases the risk of errors, and therefore, mortality rates.

Showing appreciation for nurses empowers the workforce environment to create positive solutions to motivate them to continue their hard work within the profession.

The purpose of the following gifts is to show appreciation for the work that nurses do.  No gift is too small when saying, "Thank you," to someone.  Especially with the days that some nurses face, a simple show of appreciation may be what turns it around.  Remember that!

With that said, please consider showing a nurse your appreciation with these gifts for nurses made in the USA.

1. Socks

via Notes To Self I am a great nurse® blue low-cut socks

Nurses are famous for their funny socks.  These are encouraging socks.  They remind the nurses that they are awesome.

2. Headband

Nurses have their hair pulled back.  This helps to avoid it getting in the way during procedures and for hygienic purposes.

This headband is shades of lilac on top of gray, made from vintage, designer remnants, or upcycled fabrics.  The fabrics are as unique as the nurse for which it is intended.

3. Decal Sticker

via Amazon

Decals fit onto nurses' computers, cars, or portable mugs.  It is a vinyl, die-cut decal, that is UV-, scratch-, and weather-resistant, and waterproof.

4. Retractable Badge Reel

These anatomy badge reels add personality to a nurse's uniform.  The four tinker tops are interchangeable.  It has a 36" retractable nylon cord.  Every bit of this badge is also made in the USA.

5. Stethoscope ID Tag

Stethoscopes are not inexpensive, and having an ID that is handcrafted serves two purposes.  The first purpose is practical: It serves an ID with the nurse's name on it.  The second purpose adds a fun accent to a stethoscope.

Made in Ohio by a small business.

Conclusion

Finding gifts for Nurses' Appreciation that are also made in the USA may pose a challenge, but with challenge comes change.

How will YOU be part of the change?

Always remember: Nobody appreciates you and your business more than the people behind the made in the USA name!
