Organic cotton improves the environment.  This ensures that no harmful chemicals touch your skin.  Exposure to these chemicals can cause symptoms that range from nausea to psychological disturbances.

With the increase in environmental responsibility, consumers recognize their role in motivating companies to change their practices.  Companies are providing consumers with the transparency of fabric choices and sourcing options and fair labor practices, water usage, energy savings and emissions footprints.

The following companies include sustainability in their company missions and practices.

1. Rawganique

The Rawganique wireless bra is made with 87% organic cotton.  The black bra receives its color by using low-impact, biodegradable fiber-reactive eco-dye.

The boy short panty and bikini are made from cotton grown in the USA.  There is no lycra, no spandex, and no harmful chemicals, making it hypoallergenic and breathable.  They are great for those with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS).

2. Pansy

Pansy makes undergarments from 90% organic cotton and 10% recycled PET.  The full bra is cut to fit larger cup sizes, up to 4XL.  It is a good fit for larger cup sizes and smaller band sizes.  The materials are also sourced from the US.

3. Groceries Apparel

The Tencel™, with which this bikini is made, is dyed with plant-based Vege-Dyes™.  Another important feature is that they are PFAs-free.  All of this free-from makes this a soft and comfortable bikini.

4. Blue Canoe

This lovely cami can be used for sleeping or as a layer underneath another piece of clothing.  It is made from 100% organic cotton, and contains no latex.

5. Thunderpants

Thunderpants are made in Oregon.  The Hot Pants design was illustrated by a local artist (Oregon).  It's a fun drawing.

Note: They source their cotton from Australia and the U.S.  They use local (US-based) artisans to design, cut and sew their products.

Conclusion

Finding eco-friendly underwear made in the USA may pose a challenge, but with challenge comes change.

How will YOU be part of the change?

Always remember: Nobody appreciates you and your business more than the people behind the made in the USA name!
